February 06, 2009 I bought one of the Auto Vent kit and have installed it, but it doesn't seem to be drawing out the heat. How does it turn on? It's been in the car for a few days and I thought the solar power would have charged the vent by now. It has sat in direct sunlight all day and I do not have tinted windows in the back window where it is installed. February 06, 2009 I ordered 2 auto cool units and after several weeks, received them. I have tried to use one in my car several times, and I find that it does not cool at all. I would like to return them for a refund. February 06, 2009 Don't waste your money. February 22, 2009 I purchased one of these. Pure junk. You are told NOT to use it while driving... That's because when you turn away from the sun the fan stops. The fan does NOT move enough air to do anything. You have to leave your window open about an inch and stuff it with weather stripping. Easy way for a thief to get into your locked car! Save your money!! March 10, 2009 I returned the auto-cool as it was not effective in the Arizona climate. June 05, 2009 The Auto Cool worked for me in San Francisco. You have to understand that what it function as an exhaust taking the hot air out, but if you have sun directly hitting your seat the seat will still get hot. The product is good for making the actual air inside the car cooler. I think that for $15 it was not a waste of money. June 27, 2009 I purchased an auto cool many years ago and am still using it when it gets hot. I am extremely pleased with the results. It keeps my vehicle at least 10% cooler than it is outside.
