As you all know, there are many many new As Seen on TV Products that come out all the time, and in all honesty many of them are just duplicates, re released versions of older products, or just slight improvements on previous designs. Its not all that often that truly new products are released for consumers. That being said, we truly feel that Lasting, is one of those few products that stands alone as both unique and truly useful around the house.

In today’s day in age, we are constantly battling the unseen threats of bacteria, microbes, fungus and other unwanted nasties in our homes, offices, cars, and pretty much everywhere we spend time. Their are a myriad of products designed to wipe our homes clean of these microscopic hazards, but they all work the same: use product, kill germs, repeat. Its a never ending struggle that will have your cleaning and re cleaning your home daily. There has to be a better way right?!

Lasting is a new antimicrobial and disinfecting spray on product that not only kills germs on contact but protects surfaces for up to a month. Its different than so many products because instead of needing to be reapplied daily to your surfaces Lasting physically creates a barrier that kills microbes on contact and refuses to let any new growth happen. It is truly a fire-and-forget home cleaning product meaning once you use it, you can rest assured that your surfaces will remain cleansed and germ free. The ingredient which sets Lasting apart is called MST, and it is said to have been used in hospitals for years. Well we are excited that it is finally being offered as an at home cleaning product

Another great thing about this product is its versatility in use. It is not only a surface cleaner and disinfectant but it works on fabrics, carpeting and upholstery as well. Its eliminates mold and mildew in damp clothing, sports equipment and towels. The product sanitize your carpeting for those of you with kids who spend a lot of time down there. In addition it keeps everything smelling fresh and clean between product applications. We wentalittle bit crazy spraying down our whole office too, so the extra bottle that comes free with it definitely came in handy.

Now we are not scientists here, but if this product does even half of what it claims to, it will be a definite step ahead in the home cleaning and sanitizing field of products. We have already began using it around our office and even though the effectiveness of these products are hard to accurately judge outside of a controlled lab, the peace of mind factor is definitely a big one with this product. Just knowing that your surfaces have an ongoing layer of protection is very reassuring and it made our office smell a little fresher too.

We stand behind this product and would love to hear your thoughts and experiences, so let us know on here our blog or review Lasting here on our site!

Keeper Sweeper, The Swiffer Killer?! [Review]

The Rundown:

The Keeper Sweeper is a new multi-purpose cleaning system designed to take on Keeper Sweeperalmost any cleaning task in your home. It comes equipped with four different types of cleaning pads and claims it is the only cleaning system that enables you to clean every surface from floor to ceiling.

The handle on the Sweeper elongates enabling you to clean and dust hard to reach places more easily and the Sweeper head is easily removable mop and allows one to clean horizontal surfaces like windows, mirrors, walls, and cabinets with the same product.  All the cleaning pads are machine washable, reusable and reversible meaning you won’t have to replace them like other similar light mopping products out there.

The four Sweeper pads are are the Terry Floor Mop Pad, Scrubber Mop Pad, Chenille Duster Pad, and a Glass cleaning Pad.  PLUS they throw in; another set of four pads (totaling eight), two glass shining towels and two polishing towels, to sweeten the deal.

The Real Deal:

We really couldn’t really find much not to like about The Keeper Sweeper here  The mop and scrub pads definitely keep pace with similar products, and then the duster and glass cleaner  pushes its value about other sweepers out there.  I personally was hoping for a little stronger handle, as I’m not a small individual and am pretty tough on these things when scrubbing out trouble messes, but the durability is in line with other products I have used that cost more, so really no complaint there.  I was worried that the ‘easy detaching’ head would come off too easily while being used as a floor scrubber, but I didn’t have any problems with it coming off myself.  The duster worked well as did the glass pad, but one must remember not to use an excessive amount of water when cleaning glass, to avoid water spots and such, or even use a glass cleaning product for even better results.

The Verdict:

I personally liked this product a lot.  It did what it said it would and kept pace with, if not surpassed, similar products.  Plus the ‘bonus’ items were pretty useful as well, which isnt always the case with as seen onTV products.  All of these factors, in combination with decent pricing, make it a winner in my book.  I’m putting a stamp of approval on the the Keeper Sweeper, and would take this product over a Swiffer any day of the week.  It is slightly more work for the wet mopping but Keeper Sweeper is a much more durable, versatile, and reusable product.

Pajama Jeans: Lounge Pants or Real Pants?

Pajama JeansOne of the newest products to hit the As Seen on TV scene is Pajama Jeans. There has been a lot of buzz about the Pajama Jeans because they are pajama bottom fabric pants that look like they are a pair of jeans. Most people would ague that it would be silly to wear these on a regular basis, which we are inclined to agree with. However, what about those days when you are feeling sick and want to go out and get your mail, or run to the grocery store? We brainstormed some ideas for when the Pajama Jeans would be most appropriate, when you need comfort, but want to look like you are wearing more than sweats.

  • Getting your mail or going out to the store on a sick/casual day
  • Getting anything done at a hospital when metal may not be allowed in pants, etc.
  • Flying on a plane
  • Running around in a hotel
  • Walking around the park with the kids or the dog
  • Finals week at school
  • Running around your dorm room at school
  • Under your Snuggie during your Snuggie Pub Crawl

Can you offer some other good ideas for when to wear Pajama Jeans?
